Today we had a trip to Beamish, a local Victorian era open air museum.
And even though my understanding of typography is very little one look at that sign made me go 'whoa, that's awesome, I totally want that font', and a visit to their print works (with the old school movable type press) made me want to make this font. So expect sometime after I start designing it to be seeing something similar to my Celestia Medium Redux project (which I might start doing some more work on).
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what this font actually is?

Hm, that is a cool font, though those A's look like backwards R's.
